Submission Guidelines

Online Mode

Project Video
Participants must submit a project video that meets the following criteria:
  • ◉    May use any video recording tool.
  • ◉    Must demonstrate a working prototype.
  • ◉    Must include:
  •         ⦾     Introduction of team members
  •         ⦾     Project overview
  •         ⦾     Function and benefit explanation
  •         ⦾     Demonstration of the product
  • ◉    Creative and flexible recording methods are encouraged.
    • ◉    The video duration between 4 to 6 minutes.
  • ◉    Uploaded to YouTube (not set to private).
    • ◉    Submit the YouTube link and payment confirmation via the provided submission form.

  • ◉    Participants are required to submit their video, along with a copy of their payment confirmation (payment slip), through the provided submission link from 10 August - 30 October 2025.

Face-to-face Mode

Poster Requirement
  • ◉    Mandatory display: The poster must be displayed during the competition and will be subject to evaluation.
  • ◉    Format: Portrait orientation, A3  size.
  • ◉    Content Requirements:
  •         ⦾     The 1st IIE 2025 logo at the top left
  •         ⦾     The institution logo (if applicable) at the top right
  •         ⦾     The full project title and 1st IIE Project ID
  •         ⦾     The name of all group members and the institution name
    •         ⦾     The poster must include Project ID Number
  • ◉    The official poster template can be downloaded from the 1st IIE 2025 website
Poster Template
Exhibition Materials/ Prototype
  • ◉    The project must be fully functional on the the of the competition
    • ◉    The prototype may be displayed throughout the event, with no size restriction
      • ◉    Participants are required to bring their own display board (if needed)
    • ◉    Provided by organizer:
    •         ⦾     2 examination tables and 2 chairs
    •         ⦾     Additional tables and chairs may be requested if required
    • ◉    Not allowed: Demonstration or testing on animals
      • ◉    Certificates and awards may be displayed within the exhibition space
        • ◉   The judge's decisions are final, and no appeals will be entertained
Project Presentation
  • The project presentation is a key component of the competition. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovation and engage with the judges through a structured presentation and Q&A session.
    • ◉    Allocated time:
    •         ⦾     6 minutes for the project presentation
    •         ⦾     4 minutes for the Q&A session with the judges
      • ◉    Project language:
      •         ⦾    The presentation may be delivered in Malay or English

Rules and Participation Terms

The following rules and participation terms outline the categories, fees, team composition, and sub-themes for The First International Innovation and Exhibition 2025 (1st IIE 2025). Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your entry.
  • Each institution may submit multiple projects.
  • Team Composition:
  • ◉    Students (School & College/University): 4 students + 1 supervising teacher
  • ◉    Teachers/Lecturers & International Participants: 5 participants
  • ◉    All participants must be from the same institution
      • Participation Sub-Themes:
      • ◉    Information Technology & Applied Sciences
      • ◉    Hospitality, Social Sciences, Administration & Teaching and Learning
        • Team Composition:
        • ◉    All projects must be original and not previously commercialized.
All submitted innovation projects must be original, authored by the participants, and not previously commercialized in any form.
